16th Edition of the Competition - "Gdynia Modernism in Focus 2026" | 100th Anniversary of Gdynia

The City of Gdynia, Gdynia Development Agency, and the Gdynia Modernism Trail warmly invite you to participate in the 16th edition of the "Gdynia Modernism in Focus 2026" competition.

Participation is free of charge.

The aim of the competition is to promote the aesthetic, architectural, and historical value of the city—Gdynia's summer charm and its modernist architecture, as well as modernism in Poland and worldwide. The primary focus is on creativity, composition, and adherence to the theme. This year, the organizers want to highlight the uniqueness of Gdynia's modernism, as well as inspirations from modernism in travel, art, education, and activities between buildings.

  • "DM" – "Soul of Modernism" – subjective photo-essence of modernist interiors of tenements, public buildings, as well as private homes and villas (Gdynia and other cities).
  • "MP" – "Modernism from Travel" – photographs of modernist architecture taken during travels, trips, including places and objects still little known or undiscovered by architecture enthusiasts.
